Terms & Conditions
THE DEVELOPMENT BANK OF SOUTHER AFRICA (DBSA)
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the online RSVP portal (the "Portal") operated on behalf of the Development bank of Southern Africa (referred to as "the DBSA", "we", "us" or "our") for the purpose of registering attendance at the 2025/6 Annual Financial Results Presentation ("the Event). By submitting a registration through the Portal, you ("the Guest", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Eligibility and Nature of Invitation
-
Access to the Portal and the Events is by personal invitation only. Registration links are issued to named individuals and are non-transferable.
-
You may only register using your own name and details, or, where explicitly permitted by the invitation, on behalf of a nominated guest whose details you are authorised to provide.
-
The DBSA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to decline, revoke, or amend any registration, including where information provided is inaccurate, incomplete, or where capacity constraints apply.
2. Registration and Accuracy of Information
-
You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted through the Portal is true, current and accurate.
-
Confirmation of registration does not guarantee entry. Entry remains subject to accreditation and access control checks on the day of the Event.
3. Attendance, Cancellation and Changes
-
Should you no longer be able to attend an Event for which you have confirmed your attendance, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible via the contact details provided in your confirmation email.
-
Invitations are personalised and non-transferable. Substitution of an attendee is not permitted unless expressly agreed with the DBSA in advance.
-
The DBSA reserves the right to amend, postpone, relocate or cancel an Event, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion and without liability, including in circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Where reasonably possible, registered Guests will be notified of any material change.
4. Access, Accreditation and Security
-
Access to Event venues is subject to accreditation checks, which may include presentation of identification and/or your registration confirmation.
-
The DBSA and venue operators reserve the right to refuse admission or to remove any person from an Event venue whose conduct is deemed disruptive, unlawful, or contrary to venue rules, at their sole discretion.
-
Guests may be required to submit to security screening, including bag checks, as a condition of entry.
5. Health, Safety and Conduct
-
Guests attend the Events at their own risk and are expected to comply with all reasonable health, safety and security directions issued by the DBSA, venue staff, or security personnel.
-
The DBSA accepts no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage to property arising from attendance at an Event, save where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Photography, Filming and Recording
The Events may be photographed, filmed, or recorded by or on behalf of the DBSA and its official partners for archival, promotional, media and marketing purposes. By attending, you consent to being included, incidentally or otherwise, in such photography, filming or recording, and to its use across the DBSA and its partners' communications and promotional materials, unless you notify us in advance in writing of your objection.
7. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, event branding and content made available via the Portal remain the property of the DBSA and/or their respective licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use such intellectual property save for the purpose of completing your registration.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the DBSA, its officers, employees, agents and appointed service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Portal, your registration, or your attendance at an Event. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.
9. Privacy
Personal information submitted via the Portal is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions and is available on the Portal.
10. Amendments
The DBSA may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version published on the Portal at the time of your registration governs that registration. Material changes affecting confirmed Guests will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes arising from them shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
